ASCO Announces Expansion of 128 Solenoid Valves for Numatics G3 Series and Numatics 580 Series Electronic Platforms

August 14, 2017 — ASCO announced that its Numatics G3 Series and Numatics 580 Series electronic platforms have been expanded to control up to 128 solenoid valves on a single valve manifold assembly.
The extended G3 and 580 Series platforms feature a process control architecture that allows the design engineer or end-use specifier to optimize the size of the control cabinet for the number of valves required.
The expanded valve platform supports 128 Numatics Series 501 solenoid valves and 80 Numatics Series 502 and 503 valves. They are the only ones that can support 80 18 mm and larger valve sizes on a single manifold.
To increase the capacity of the valve platform, ASCO added intermediate station blocks with valve actuators and auxiliary power connectors. This approach allows customers to pay only for the capacity and features their designs require.Multiple Numatics G3 and 580 series electronic protocols are supported, including Ethernet/IP DLR, Profibus DP and Valve Sub-bus for distribution.
ASCO strongly recommends that customers use its online DPM configurator when designing pneumatic manifold installations to eliminate errors and save time.
